In the spirit of Praxis where practice makes perfect, Bill likes to play a little as a winemaker. We made some Rose a few years ago, but wanted to expand our portfolio again this year. The Pinot Noir grapes are from the Southern end of the Sonoma Coast appellation - West of the town of Sonoma at the border of the Carneros appellation where the cool climatic conditions of San Pablo Bay influence growth and ripening. The idea was to make a lovely dry rose and this is it!
The wine is a light salmon pink color with light citrus, strawberry, and melon aromas. Flavors of strawberry, raspberry and rhubarb are accented by a delicate touch of spice. The wine is dry and has bright subtle layers. It is crisp and clean on the palate with good acidity and a full, rich body.
