2010 Pinot Noir Monterey County

(not eligible for discounts)

This is our ninth vintage of Pinot Noir and our fifth from this sustainably farmed vineyard in Monterey.  Bill loves the chalky soils there which allow him to create the Burgundian style Pinots that we love.

The color is ruby red with garnet highlights.  Black raspberry, vanilla and mushroomy earth notes fill the glass along with violet and geranium floral scents.  Flavors of cranberries, raspberries, red currants and plums are complemented by a hint of allspice.  The wine is soft, balanced and alluring with bight acidity and rich velvety mouthfeel.
