“From warm Alexander Valley comes this superripe young Merlot. It's fresh and vibrant in jammy cherry, blackberry and wintergreen flavors, with a keen sharpness of acidity” Wine Enthusiast November 2007

The grapes for this wine again come from a vineyard on a rise in the heart of Alexander Valley. After fermentation, the wine was aged for 18 months in predominantly American oak barrels. Bill finds that the American barrels complement the varietal characteristics of Merlot in a special way.
