Our Wines / 2004 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
Arbios Cellars focuses on a single red wine, made from 100 percent Cabernet Sauvignon grapes grown on a mountain top vineyard in the Alexander Valley of Sonoma County. Arbios Cabernet Sauvignon is crafted in classic Bordeaux-style to have moderate alcohol and good fruit character. Although Bill has a successful track record crafting blended wines, he now prefers the additional challenges and artistry that go into making our wine from a single vineyard. The 2004 Arbios Cabernet is classic ruby red in color with purple highlights. Berry, cherry and plum aromas are followed by hints of clove, allspice and vanilla. The cherry is also woven into the wine’s flavor and is complemented by notes of toffee and forest floor. The wine is dry and soft with moderate acid. The wine is full bodied with round full tannins. | Varietal Composition: | 100% Cabernet Sauvignon | | Appellation: | Alexander Valley | | Months in Oak: | 24 | | Alcohol: | 13.6% | | pH: | 3.60 | | Brix at harvest : | 24.2 | | % Malolactic: | 100% | | Type of Oak: | French | | TA (g/100ml): | 0.64 | | Res Sugar (g/100 ml): | 0.002 | | Winemaker: | Bill Arbios | | Production: | 930 cases |
