Our Wines / 2007 Praxis Dry Syrah Rose
In the spirit of Praxis where practice makes perfect, Bill gets to play a little as a winemaker. He had not made a rose for over twenty years, but wanted to expand his craft again. The Syrah grapes are from the heart of the Alexander Valley; the same vineyard where we get our Merlot. The idea was to make a lovely dry rose for summer and this is it!The wine is a beautiful salmon color with a floral, strawberry nose. Flavors of strawberry, watermelon and guava are accented by a little spice and vanilla.
